The fourth annual REVOLT Music Conference kicks off Thursday Oct 12 at the Eden Roc resort in Miami, FL. It was announced in August that Queen Latifah will receive the prestigious REVOLT Icon award. Along with the announcement, several artists, including Ms. Lauryn Hill, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Daniel Caesar, King Combs and SZA, were announced as performers at this year’s conference.
In the last week, 21 Savage has been added to the lineup and several key note speakers and panelists have been announced.
CEO and Co-Founder of 300 Entertainment Kevin Liles will take the stage as the conference’s keynote speaker while Bozoma Saint John, Chief Brand Officer at Uber, and Shakim Compere, Co-Founder of Flavor Unit Entertainment, will participate in interactive Q&As sessions.
Film producer and director of the “Defiant Ones”, Allen Hughes will lead a filmmaking Q&A session and will showcase a screening during the REVOLT Film Festival on October 15th. Panels covering a multitude of topics including artist development and management, public relations, branding, and content creation will take place throughout the conference and the list of panelists can be seen in the following video:
Up and coming artists will have a chance to showcase their talent during the “Be Heard” competition presented by Pepsi on the first day of the conference. The “Be Heard” winner will perform on REVOLT TV.
The RMC will kick off with performances by King Combs, 21 Savage, and French Montana. French will also be honored with a proclamation from Mayor Philip Levine (Miami Beach). Other VIP guests will include Diddy, 21 Savage, Andre Harrell, and Roma Khanna.
