New York City strippers are on strike because they claim scantily clad bartenders are moving in on their turf. Tension between strippers and bartenders has reached a boiling point in NY as social media has helped bartenders become part of the main attraction at strip clubs.
La La Anthony is friends with a lot of strippers and knows the scene very well, so she shared her thoughts on the stripper life. Here is what she said about the scene in general.
“I have always been taught not to judge,” she says of her stripper pals. “Everyone is trying to make a living and do what is best for them. You do not know what happened in a person’s journey and what led them to that. It could be a lot of things. So I never point the finger at anyone for what they are doing.” I went to high school with girls who are strippers, and they are doing very well.”
She also made it clear that father time is undefeated in the strip game too and also shared her tipping tendencies.
“The cutoff age, I would say, maybe 40. I will say ride the wave as long as you can!” As for who she tips more, “I try to be equal to the strippers and bartenders — but my limit is a $1,000.”
No surprise there. La La is developing a VH1 show called Gold Diggers about women entrepreneurs so look out for more stripper/bartender drama on that show. Flip the page for photos of La La.
