As the season progresses the Utah Jazz continue to struggle this season. There have been some injuries as their franchise player Rudy Gobert had missed some time with an injury. Also with the emergence of rookie Donovan Mitchell, it seems likely the Jazz will make some assets available prior to the trading deadline. Rumors suggest Rodney Hood will the player to be traded.
Marc Stein helped confirmed these rumors via Twitter
There is a growing belief in league personnel circles that Utah could move swingman Rodney Hood before the Feb. 8 trade deadline … with multiple teams expressing interest

It makes sense for the Jazz to try to trade Hood as they want to give their young sensational rookie Mitchell more playing time. Hood is averaging 16.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, but he has been virtually out of the starting lineup since early November and seen his minutes go down as Mitchell’s have gone up. Hood is also still young, only 25 years old and is a proven scorer in the NBA. Plenty of teams should be lining up for his services, especially those in contention this season as he is only owed 2.5 million.
