Kirk Cousins is about to break the bank.
After the Redskins & Cousins failed to reach a long-term agreement (likely because Cousins reportedly wants to be the highest-paid QB in the NFL), the team went out and signed Alex Smith in free-agency.
This means Cousins can look forward to being courted by a multitude of NFL teams who believe they’re a solid signal-caller away from a Super Bowl run. Arizona & Denver come to mind right away. Even Minnesota could possibly throw their hat in the ring.
Those are just the contenders.
Cousins could really chase the bag & go to Cleveland or the Jets. A 4,000-yard passer is the most in-demand commodity in the league right now, and most general managers will pay almost anything for a young, uninjured QB in his prime.
TMZ caught up to Kirk Cousins to ask him about his departure from Washington, and also about what lies ahead.
