11-year NFL veteran Cornerback Antonio Cromartie has officially announced his retirement from the NFL. Cromartie made the announcement in an Instagram post. He last played for the Colts in the 2016 season.
Cromartie’s wife suspected that he was cut by Indianapolis in 2016 for kneeling during the national anthem to protest against racism and police brutality. He also agreed with this.
Cromartie was known most notably during his tenure with the Chargers and Jets. He was selected to the Pro Bowl four times and was First-team All-Pro in 2007.
