Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor’s wife has posted a series of social media videos openly discussing the possibility of her husband being traded, including recent clips in which she said her mind was “spiraling” after the team moved longtime veterans Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner and asked whether she needed to start packing their bags.
Ayanna Taylor (also referred to in some reports as Ayanna Chapman) shared the latest videos on Tuesday after the Colts, sitting at 2-5, traded eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, then dealt defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick.

In one short video filmed while she was getting her hair done, she covered her mouth in apparent shock. The caption read: “POV: You’re just tryin to relax at your hair appointment, but Colts players are getting traded left and right and your husband could be next.” A longer follow-up was captioned “Q and now Deforest… should I start packing?!”
In the longer video, she said: “Is literally anybody safe on this team? I’ve never known the Colts organization without these people and it kind of feels like rookie year all over again. So, naturally, my mind is spiraling. Is this the start of the trade frenzy? What does this mean for my husband and I? Do I need to start packing our bags? Are we going to be spending our daughter’s first Halloween together? Will we make it to game day, or was last week the last time my husband is putting on a Colts jersey?”
WOW: JONATHAN TAYLOR TAKES SHOTS AT HIS WIFE DISCUSSING HIM POTENTIALLY BEING TRADED ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
“YOU KNOW EVERYBODY’S ON TIKTOK THESE DAYS. SO, YOU JUST GOTTA … STAY FOCUSED.”
“I THINK HER ADDING TO IT DOESN’T REALLY CHANGE ANYTHING.”

She also noted that “in the NFL, your life can literally change with one phone call or, apparently, one post. Sometimes you find out when you’re running errands on a random Tuesday,” and referenced a shrinking circle of players’ wives after earlier offseason trades of players including Zaire Franklin and Michael Pittman Jr.
The latest posts followed a pair of videos Ayanna Taylor shared over the previous weekend, after the Colts fired longtime general manager Chris Ballard. In those clips she said the family was in “a situation that we’ve never been in before,” that “this may be the first time we may not be on the same team, and we might get traded,” and that “players that once seemed untouchable may now be on the table.” She pointed to the team’s 2-5 record (after a home loss to a previously winless Titans team), the GM firing, and the lack of high draft picks after last year’s deal that sent 2026 and 2027 first-round selections to the New York Jets for cornerback Sauce Gardner. She concluded that “my life is now a Colts transaction watch” and asked followers whether the family would “ride into the sunset” with the Colts or start “a whole new chapter.”

After Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Jonathan Taylor was asked about his wife’s earlier videos. He said: “I think it’s been out there already, so I think her adding [to it] doesn’t really change anything. You know everybody’s on TikTok these days. So, you just have to come into work and stay focused.” He had previously said he had not given any thought to trade rumors, calling it a disservice to teammates and the organization while games remained.
Taylor, 27 and in his seventh season with the Colts after signing an extension that runs through 2028, has rushed for 587 yards and eight touchdowns on 140 carries through seven games, along with 17 receptions for 178 yards. The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10. Reports have linked him to potential interest from multiple contenders as Indianapolis continues its roster overhaul under interim leadership following Ballard’s dismissal.
Ayanna Taylor has described the posts as reflecting the personal side of the league’s uncertainty for families, noting that partners also “get ready for your game day” and that “we are all a team, the players, the fans, the families.” Some of her follow-up commentary addressed the volume of public reaction to the earlier videos.
Leonard Fournette issues a BLUNT warning to Jonathan Taylor about keeping his Wife out of the limelight during intense trade talks, emphasizing that social media outbursts from close family members can SEVERELY damage a player's career and lead to trades and make it easy for a GM… https://t.co/qHGbwyMiv6 pic.twitter.com/M3yt9oKoYP

The Colts’ recent moves mark a clear shift toward collecting draft capital after a disappointing start and the loss of future first-round picks in the Sauce Gardner trade. Whether Jonathan Taylor is next remains unconfirmed, but his wife’s public comments have added a personal dimension to the speculation surrounding the team’s direction ahead of the deadline.
