According to Richmond-Times Dispatch, Virginia Tech Assistant Football Coach, Galen Scott (who is married), resigned after a Husband exposed him for having an extramarital affair with his own wife via Twitter.
Now, Galen is just trying to pick up the pieces where he can:
I made a mistake, man…I made a mistake and hurt my family. I just have to make sure I can handle that.
Scotts says that every detail that this man is accusing him of is not entirely true; however, the affair is, in fact, the reason why Scott is resigning.
Scott had just been promoted to co-defensive coordinator this year for VT and he was scheduled to make $338,000.
Also, note that Scott’s exposer is apparently an avid Diggy Simmons fan by the looks of his profile pic on Twitter. Not sure if that makes this whole situation easier or a bit harder to deal with for Galen.
