Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is making headlines again, but this time, nobody is talking about spectacular catches or football highlights.
Instead, the former NFL wide receiver has found himself in a heated parking lot confrontation with a teenager. And yes, somebody’s phone became part of the drama.
Video footage captured Bryant slapping a phone out of the teenager’s hand during the altercation. Apparently, some parking lots have become unofficial boxing rings where arguments come with cameras and an audience.

Forget Monday Night Football. Social media has delivered its own unexpected showdown.
The dispute occurred just before 1 p.m. outside of a restaurant in Southlake, Texas, after Bryant accused 19-year-old Noah Reyes and his friend, 19-year-old Terrance Avery, of “street racing” next to his vehicle on a nearby roadway.
Bryant, who also alleged Reyes threatened to shoot him after he confronted the duo about their driving behavior, can be seen in the new footage yelling at Avery “to get your partner before I break him down.”
He also can be seen slapping Reyes’ phone away after the teen pulled it out in an apparent attempt to film the ex-Dallas Cowboys receiver.
“I’m not playing with you,” Bryant says in the clip.
Bryant then picks up Reyes’ phone and despite Avery’s pleas for the 37-year-old to not “break it,” the three-time Pro Bowler hurls it to the pavement with force.
In today’s world, a phone is practically an extra body part. People use it to record everything, from birthday parties to arguments with strangers. So, when someone knocks one out of their hand during a confrontation, the internet immediately wants answers.
Seconds later, after Reyes got his phone back, Bryant took another swing at the phone, according to the video.
“I’m fitting to f—k these little motherf—kers up,” Bryant can be heard yelling in the video. “Like, real talk.”
The video shows Bryant got in Reyes’ face multiple other times, repeatedly calling him a “bitch” while threatening him.
“I’ll break you down, n—a,” Bryant said at one point. “Don’t give a f—k about none of that.”
Bryant also stated over and over again he didn’t “give a f—k about no law.”
“You think I give a f—k about that law?” Bryant said, according to the video, before gesturing at supposed security cameras around the lot. “No I don’t. Not at all. Because we’re going to get them cameras and see who looks like an idiot.”
Parking lot arguments can get ugly very quickly. One minute, people are exchanging words, the next minute, someone is making a decision that could have serious consequences.
Cops eventually arrived on scene and one officer seemed to draw a gun on Bryant right away, appearing to order him to “get on the f—king ground.”
“Several callers reported that multiple individuals were involved in the altercation as well as a possible weapon,” a Southlake Police Department spokesperson said of the incident in a statement to The Post on Monday. “Based on that information, officers drew their firearms upon arrival as a precaution to address any potential threats and ensure the safety of everyone at the scene. Several individuals were temporarily detained as part of the investigation. No firearms were recovered at the scene.
“The altercation reportedly began as a traffic incident near Kimball Avenue, where one of the involved individuals, identified as 37-year-old Desmond Bryant, reported he was cut off by another motorist. Both parties subsequently entered the parking lot, where an argument ensued and the alleged assault occurred.
“Following the investigation, Bryant, was issued a citation for Assault by Contact, a Class
C misdemeanor, and was released at the scene.”
Bryant’s football career gave fans plenty of unforgettable moments. Unfortunately, this parking lot encounter is the kind of highlight nobody needs on their personal reel.

The lesson? Not every argument deserves a championship-level reaction.
Sometimes, the smartest play is simply walking away.
