We know Wale has no filter and speaks him mind on any topic whether it’s music, women or race. The 33-year old rapper went on Twitter for a Q&A session and a fan asked him why his art of rap is not accepted in this era. Wale agreed and claims that “being a dark skinned (not half white) rapper direct decent from Africa” is one of the reasons why his career never took.

Drake would be an example of this ‘light skin rapper’ and white rappers like Macklemore, Mac Miller and Lil Dicky who has a hit record with Chris Brown ‘Freaky Friday’.
However ,the current successful rappers like Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West are a different shade.
