Nothing better than the smooth refreshing summer air and possibilities of Lebron James joining your roster before July 4th. That is a way to celebrate the holiday, unless your Cavs fan. However, realistically around 25 teams will not enjoying any possibilities of the King in uniform because, Lebron greatness superseds the franchise. While it was originally reported Lebron would consider close to 5-6 teams in early May, it has now dwindled down to two.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reporting that “LeBron James has narrowed the teams he’s considering for free agency down to the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers”
I think we can all be safe to assume the words of Brian Windhosrt by now regarding Lebron James, as fact. The Ahmad Rashad to Micheal Jordan, just a lot less cool. Anyway, the fact still remains, why does Houston realistically believe they can sign Lebron? As it is, there are already rumblings about the Chirs Paul and if he will sign for the full five years and $205 million? He himself has already vocalized the fact, Lebron just is not interested in Houston.
“According to my sources, several things are happening: A. Chris Paul is telling folks LeBron ain’t trying to come to Houston, he wants to be in L.A.,” Stephen A. said. “These are things I’m getting through the grapevine. Chris Paul is saying LeBron wants to be in L.A.”
Now, while First Take and Stephen A Smith have been known to speak of rumors and not facts. Mr Smith is certified in two things, basketball connections and what gets told to someone else. I tend to agree with him and Chris Paul, Lebron probably has no interest in uprooting his family to Houston. However, that does not mean the Rockets and Daryl Morey should not do there job. James Harden and Chris Paul were a hamstring pull away, one game, and they could have been the 2017-2018 NBA Champions. If Lebron wants to win, the Houston Rockets might possibly be his best option.
