With the announcement of LeBron James headed towards LA another player from the famous 2003 draft class may be on the move as well. Carmelo Anthony who just opted-in to his $27.9 million dollar player-option might be bought-out by the Thunder according to NY Post.
If that happens one could surmise that he might want to head to LA, but there is no indication that the Lakers are interested in him.
With that being said, after a dreadful showing in OKC this past year, it might help Carmelo to play with one of his best friends, LeBron James, instead of trying to continue to build chemistry and brick shots next to Paul George and Russel Westbrook. This would also help the Thunder with their luxury tax situation.
