Former Lakers teammates Matt Barnes and Derek Fisher have been beefing ever since Fisher dated Barnes’ ex-wife Gloria Govan. Barnes is now trying to make peace as he recently invited Fisher to the Athletes vs Cancer fundraiser which helps raise money for scholarships to give to kids who beat cancer.
TMZ Sports caught up with Barnes and when asked about Fisher, Barnes said “We’re good. We’re fine.” Fisher was on the guestlist for the event but didn’t show up.
Three years ago, Barnes drove 95 miles to try to fight Fisher over Govan. It’s hard to really tell if the two are actually on good terms now considering that Fisher didn’t take the invite to the fundraiser. There could be positive things happening behind the scenes though.
