Mel B sat down with The Sun and reported she will be entering rehab in Britain for alcohol and sex addiction. For the last six months the “America’s Got Talent” judge has been reflecting with her writers while writing a biography about her life.
It has been tough reliving the traumatic experiences when reflecting for her writers the Spice Girl mentioned. “I’ve been working on my book, ‘Brutally Honest,” and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life from the death of my dad to my relationship with men,” Melanie Brown told the Sun on Sunday in a statement.
Brown separated from her husband film producer Stephan Belafonte in 2016, divorcing in 2017. There was a temporary restraining order against Belafonte after their split. A 2017 domestic violence trial was settled out of court. She has one child with the producer and two outside of their marriage.
Mel has three daughters and believed that she had to check into rehab to better herself for them as well. “I love my three girls more than life itself. I have also made the decision to go into a proper therapy programme in the next few weeks,” Brown said in her statement.
A 13-date concert series reunion for the Spice Girls across the UK was rumored without Victoria Beckham, who is heavily pursuing fashion and other endeavors. Not sure if this slows down the reunion but Mel B is ready to change and we can only hope the best for her.
