YG is set to drop his fourth studio album Stay Dangerous tomorrow but in the meantime, is giving back to his local community in Los Angeles. The Compton rapper has given a $150k check to Girl Code LA, an organization that helps young women excel in fields such as computer technology and business. The women will also learn coding in different software engineering.
YG spoke to TMZ on his goals with the donation and how he plans to bring these young women a brighter future.
“With my donation, I hope they’ll be able to expand their reach of future female coders and programmers,” said YG. “I want to make sure I’m doing my part. I got a daughter and I respect the G Code.”
These young women had the opportunity to learn from YG and were all gifted Beats headphones once the meeting concluded. Flip the page for a photo of YG with the women in the classroom, courtesy of Danielle Padilla along with video of YG holding the large $150k check, courtesy of TMZ.
