With the bond between Ghost, Kanan, and Tommy fraying by the minute, they’re all acting like independent contractors with their own agendas. Tommy is bonding with his dad and trying to figure out how to keep his connect (Jason) happy. Kanan wants Tommy’s position in Jason’s network and Ghost wants to eliminate Jason and Dre. Kanan looks like the one in the pole position here and has been for a while. Ghost and Tommy have conflicting agendas when it comes to Jason but are seemingly on the same team when it comes to taking out Dre. What happens when Ghost and Tommy learn Kanan is still messing with Tariq? Plus all the “schooling” Tariq is receiving from Kanan about becoming his own man and a hustler. How long before it conflicts with something Ghost wants with dire consequences?
We have so many tension points in this episode and it bears repeating, with only three episodes left there are many storylines to wrap up. We didn’t talk about Tate, but with Ghost’s knowledge about the shadiness behind the scenes at the Queens Child Project, it looks like that storyline could quiet down or wrap soon. Teresi may start growing a conscience about snitching on Tommy after his cancer-stricken wife, Connie, made him feel guilty. A busy episode, light on the action but good moments.
A few extra thoughts:
- Saxe has some of the best lines. “Oh God, I am picturing Angela’s face when she finds out she’s getting indicted. That just gets me fucking…” LMAO. He wants her so bad and it’s hilarious.
- Donovan calling Saxe snowflake.
- Ghost coming at Tasha for cheating is hilarious. Tasha: “We didn’t get together until he got you off.” Ghost: “Then he got you off.” I would say sick burn but Ghost you were smashing Angela from season one fam…
- Tommy and Teresi getting off on using power tools to kill that MCC officer. Sick stuff. But then again they are sociopaths.
- Did Dre and 2Bit really have signs that said “This way to pussy”? Come on man…
- Tommy and Lakeisha smashing again. You think Melo watched last night’s episode? Too soon?
- Speaking of, are we sure Tommy and Lakeisha are a good idea? She thinks she’s gonna meet his dad and stepmom. Are they going steady now?
- Tommy’s wife, Connie says Tommy should start a private ambulance business to clean his money. Ummm what? LOL.
- It’s hilarious how Tommy breaks into Angela’s apartment and car repeatedly this episode. He also broke in the last episode. He is invading her space and showing her that while they are aligned right now, he is still a threat to her.
- We talk about how Angela breaks the law but it has all been non-violent crimes until now. When she looks at Tommy after saying she needs to “eliminate the problem” he sees something in her eyes and says “you got the devil inside.” Tough to come back once you go down that road.
- Ghost, Tasha, and Angela together again. This time with the murder weapon on the table. As much as they are all in it “together.” How long before one of them…
