Yasiel Puig has not been comfortable in his San Fernando Valley home. Per TMZ Sports, a burglary has occurred there for a third time in the past two years. Officials say that this time was this past Thursday night at 11:15PM when Puig and the Dodgers finished a game against the Diamondbacks.
TMZ stated that Puig saw two men come into the home through the front door. The men soon fled after Puig yelled at them.
San Fernando Valley police have a theory that robberies in the area do not happen due to celebrity statuses. That does seem suspect though especially for athletes because they know the perfect times to make their moves into the homes.
The two prior burglaries were in March and November of 2017. In March, he was robbed of $500k worth of jewelry. The November incident involved stolen jewelry again and that was all happening while the Dodgers suffered a heartbreaking Game 7 World Series loss to the eventual champion Houston Astros.
