Shortly after 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was carted off the field during Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, the signal-caller’s alleged ex posted the message, “Karma,” on Instagram, as captured by SportsGossip.com.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters following San Francisco’s 38-27 loss to Kansas City he fears Garoppolo, 26, may have suffered an ACL tear. The quarterback will undergo an MRI exam on Monday to verify the extent of the injury.
Garoppolo, the 49ers’ $137.5 million man, was linked to King in March after TMZ published photos of the pair’s day out at Disneyland. King also went public with the rumored romance in February, posting a Valentine’s Day photo on Instagram.
Garoppolo later revealed in a feature for Bleacher Report that he was not aware of the relationship that many believed existed.
“It was news to me,” Garoppolo shared.
