Kevin Hart had time today.
Hart and Tiffany Haddish stopped by the Breakfast Club Friday to promote their new movie, “Night School”, premiering September 28. During the early stages of the interview with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God, the issue of Katt Williams came up. Katt recently gave his opinion on Haddish’s success and others on Atlanta’s “Frank and Wanda in the Morning” radio show. Williams stated that Haddish hasn’t toured and hasn’t earned her stripes the comedy world like many other female comedians who haven’t gotten the same attention, via Page Six.
While Haddish claims that the beef was squashed between herself and Williams privately at the Emmy’s, Hart felt the need to discuss the issue. Around the 7:00 mark, Hart goes into detail about his issues with the “crabs in a barrel” mentality that exists in Hollywood among people of color and goes directly at Williams while name-dropping the people that Williams went at directly during his Atlanta interview, notably himself, Haddish, Lil’ Rel, Jerrod Carmichael and Hannibal Burress. Hart lists out the achievements that himself, Haddish, Lil’ Rel, Burress and Carmichael are currently doing before going at Katt directly.
