Even in these times when overt racism seems to be more rampant, there are still discrete ways that white power extremists identify themselves in public spaces. A tattoo, chant, symbol, flag or subtle hand gesture can be calling card for fellow racists. So when Zina Bash, a conservative Washington mover and shaker who was sitting behind supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in obvious support during his confirmation hearing, flashed what appeared to be one of these white nationalist symbols twitter reacted.
