It was the last play of the day and Dez Bryant may be out for the remainder of the season. Per reports, Bryant suffered a serious injury and it may be his Achilles.
This comes after the Saints reporting that Bryant would miss his Saints debut against the Bengals this Sunday because they want him to lose at least five pounds and get back into football shape. Plus learn the Drew Brees and Sean Payton system.
Bryant was a free agent after the Dallas Cowboys didn’t re-sign him. Saints signed him Wednesday to a 1-year deal for a base salary of $600,000. The Saints restructured their OT Terron Armstead’s 2018 salary to sign the 30-year old receiver.
Last season, Bryant had 838 receiving yards, two touchdowns and 1 fumble.
If he did tear his Achilles, he will be the 5th Saint to go on the IR list (Ted Ginn, Cam Meredith, Tommylee Lewis, Travin Dural). Saints may look into Brandon Marshall according to Adam Schefter.
Look how the NFL world is going crazy over the possible season-ending injury.
