If I’m a Redskins fan right now, I’m trembling with fear. Why? Because of the news that Dan Snyder is taking over the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Well why is that a bad thing? Let’s just say Snyder and competent drafting in the first round doesn’t add up to team success for the long run.
Just talked to a Redskins source who told me Dan Snyder has "taken over the first round of the draft."
The last time that happened the Redskins traded two future No. 1's and a No. 2 to move up for Robert Griffin.

The Redskins however denied these reports.
For what it's worth and in the interest of the Redskins' side of this…
On my previous tweet: I just talked to Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie. He says any person saying Dan Snyder has taken over the team's first round decision making is "categorically false."

Now Robert Griffin wasn’t bad at all, he won ROTY and led the Redskins to the playoffs. His injury history however was extensive and has been the subject of what if for his time in Washington.
Those first round picks given up didn’t help the situation either.
Plus even with the news today that they want to move into the top 5 from their original pick of 15, the price to do that could be as expensive as the last time the Redskins were involved in a move like this. Reference tweet above.
Nonetheless, Snyder taking over the first round process isn’t ideal for the present and future of the Washington Redskins.
Bode well isn’t even the best language I could use for this news.
Pray Redskins fans, you need all of them.
