Patrick Beverly recently signed a 3-year, $40 million deal to stay with the Clippers. The team also has their sights set on getting hometown star Kawhi Leonard as well. Leonard still hasn’t made his decision but the Clips are supposedly still in the running to get him over the Lakers.
Beverly posted a Fouth of July shout out to Clippers fans on Twitter and that’s when a Laker fan stepped in to talk his trash. He said the Clips don’t have a nation, they’re the JV team of LA, and that you don’t get a nation when you can’t get past the conference semis.
Beverly wasted no time in clapping back at the Laker troll as he said he’s been sleeping on the Clips for the last two years and that their fans are OK with the Lakers losing even with having big stars. As of now, the Clippers still look better than the Lakers as they have been since 2013. This could all change very soon if Kawhi does choose the Lakers though.
