R. Kelly is dominating headlines again, this time following two separate federal grand indictments in Illinois and New York. New charges brought upon Kelly consist of child pornography, enticement of minors to engage in criminal sexual activity, obstruction of justice, racketeering, transporting minors for prostitution, and coercion or enticement to engage in criminal sexual activity according to a report from The New Yorker. Kelly attempted to cover up his sexual crimes with under-aged women, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars buying back his lost illicit tapes. Federal prosecutors say Kelly paying to recover videotapes of his sexual encounters with teenage girls goes all the way back to 2001. The federal findings led to R. Kelly’s arrest in Chicago Thursday, June 11th.
As a direct result of Kelly’s arrest federal officials have taken over his residence at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, thus displacing his two girlfriends Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary via The Blast.
The two may be better known from their families who were featured in the staggering six part docu-series “Surviving R. Kelly”; their families were seen pleading with R. Kelly to allow their daughters to return home. The future is uncertain after the arrest of their infamous lover, and it is reported that the two women are being forced to find temporary living arrangements.
