The commander in chief said he will personally vouch for A$AP Rocky bail in a following phone call with Swedish prime minister Stefan Löfven.
The problem is Sweden doesn’t have a bail system. Dennis Martinsson, a senior law lecturer at Stockholm University told Time Magazine “We don’t have that system, so the only option is detention.”
The prime minister spokesperson confirms the phone call with President Trump “was friendly and respectful and lasted about 20 minutes.”
Löfven “made certain to emphasize the complete independence of the Swedish judicial system, prosecutors and courts,” said the spokesperson Toni Eriksson “He underlined that in Sweden everyone is equal before the law and that the government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings.
We may have follow-up call between the leaders but nothing is planned said Eriksson.
A$AP Rocky has been jail while police were investigating a fight that happen in Stockholm. A video surface of his security guard throwing a person to the ground. Rocky said it was self-defensive since the two people kept following them after A$AP and his security guard told them to go away.
