The brother of Olympic gymnast Simon Biles, Tevin Biles-Thomas has been charged with the murder of 3 individuals which occurred during a New Years Eve Party in Cleveland, Ohio.
A Cuyahoga grand jury indicted Mr. Biles-Thomas for 6 counts of murder, 3 counts of voluntary manslaughter, 5 counts of felonious assault and 1 count of perjury according to TMZ.
Furthermore under Ohio law according to TMZ,
“purposely killing and knowingly killing a victim are separate counts for each victim — and that’s why he got 6 murder charges.”
Authorities stated a house party occurred on New years eve where Tevin and others were when an uninvited group of people entered the party starting a large brawl.
Once the brawl occurred, Tevin fire into the crowd that was unwelcomed killing 3 of the people and injuring another 2.
TMZ has released the 911 call from the house party where the caller states,
“They just started shooting”
The caller continued to tell 911 when asked about seeing who the active shooter was, they stated they couldn’t see who the shooter was but when asked if anyone was bleeding they stated,
“there both dead”
Biles-Thomas, who is on active duty in the Army, was station in Fort Stewart in Georgia.
Moreover, He is scheduled to be arraigned on his charges September 13th at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center according to CBS news.
