Andrew Luck shocked the sports world on Saturday night when he announced that he would be officially retiring from the NFL. Luck said he lost his desire for the game and this is after years of piling up injuries on injuries. He hasn’t been able to practice lately or play in any preseason games as well.
Other players in the NFL can understand where Luck is coming from. Sometimes you just wake up and don’t want to suffer more injuries and get hit by 300-pound men. Many people who haven’t played the game of football are blind to this such as the Colts fans who booed Luck off the field after finding out about the retirement news along with FS1’s Doug Gottlieb.
Gottlieb bashed Luck by saying he’s retiring because rehabbing is too hard for him and that’s the most millennium thing ever. Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman came across Gottlieb’s tweet and went in on him for the disrespectful comment about Luck. Aikman said the comment was total BS and that Gottlieb isn’t qualified to decide how someone should live their life. He added that it looks like thinking like this is what keeps Gottlieb employed at FS1 and even took a little jab at Skip Bayless.
Salute to one of the best to ever do it in standing up for Luck and the decision that people need to respect. Luck is about to be a father and doesn’t need any more injuries to ruin his personal life. Flip the page for Aikman coming for Gottlieb over the disrespectful Luck tweet and Twitter reactions to it.
