Doug Gottlieb, who is known to say asinine comments on air for Fox Sports, recently might have put the icing on the cake with his comments in reference to former Colts QB, Andrew Luck surprisingly announcing his retirement mid game.
The comments made by Doug were very insensitive to say the least. Andrew Luck who has been injured through the vast majority of his playing career suffering a lacerated kidney, back problems along with a long list of other injuries, called it quits this weekend.
Luck calling it quits was due to him wanting to live a long, healthy life with his family and kids. Not to mention, Luck isn’t struggling for money either, having earned over 100 million in his playing career and in addition, The Colts are allowing Luck to keep over an additional 20 plus Million which could have been returned to the franchise.
After hanging it up Saturday, not only did Luck get booed off the field from the disrespectful Colts fans, but he has to listen to a credit card thieve go on air taking shots at him.
Gottlieb who has defended his comments stated,
“Retiring cause rehabbing is “too hard” is the most millennial thing ever #andrewluck”
There’s a great saying,
“People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”
NFL Receiver Torrey Smith ethered Doug with a simple reply of,
“You stole credit cards because working is “too hard”
NFL Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman chimed in and blasted Doug also calling his idiotic comments, “total BS”
What possible excuse could Doug have for the comments, besides admitting he’s a smart ass?
