History has been made by the state of California.
Today the state of California signed into law “California’s Fair Pay to Play Act” allowing colleges athletes in the state of California to get paid for their likeness.
What made the signing unique is that it took place on the set of LeBron James’s show “The Shop.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom explains his reasoning for signing the bill into as,
“…going to change college sports for the better.”
Now it will be up to the NCAA to respond and additionally react if other states follow suit.
