Prosecutors are calling R Kelly a flight risk if he’s released from court. The destination could somewhat surprise you.
R Kelly is awaiting trial in 4 different states while facing a multitude of charges. Prosecutors in New York, where Kelly is facing charges, are asking the judge to keep Kelly in jail until he awaits trial.
The reason they say is because they believe Kelly is a flight risk. If he does get released before trial, prosecutors fear he could flee to Dubai.
Kelly has said though, that due to his financial troubles, he can’t even begin to think about traveling around the world.
But prosecutors think that those claims are just a bunch of lies.
Who knows what’ll happen if the judge allows him to be released while awaiting trial, but we do know this, we’ll find out if Kelly is as broke as he seems.
The judge denied Kelly’s request.
