Where there is smoke there’s soon to be a fire some say. With that said, there has been rumblings of a potential rematch between Khabib Nurmagomedov and controversial Irishman Conor Mcgregor.
Khabib has shut off those rumors continuously over the last several months stating, Conor is not worth his time and shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as himself.
Nurmagomedov spoke briefly with TMZ Sports on McGregor’s last match against top prospect Cowboy Cerrone telling TMZ,
“”He’s not high level,” “Of course he has a big name, but his time is finished.”
“Cowboy always loses all his main event fights, always. I don’t remember when he win. In last 10 fights, I think he’s lost 7 times.”
Moreover, Khabib clearly has a case that Mcgregor fought an old washed up Cerrone, who indeed previously had lost 7 of his previous 11 fights.
The writing is on the wall. Khabib has mentioned that he doesn’t want to fight Conor again. Mcgregor wants all the smoke with Khabib and says he’s more focused than ever, which includes cutting out bad habits, drinking weeks before the fight and has became truly a changed fighter per McGregor.
Dana White in no way shape of form would turn down a 6 figure payday at the new Las Vegas Raiders stadium set to open later 2020. Listening to Khabib, he doesn’t necessarily sound to convincing, most recently calling out McGregor. It remains to be seen when or if this potential rematch will happen, but in the case this does happen expect a huge payday for all considering parties including the man himself Dana White.
