Carmelo Anthony recently did an IG live with Dwyane Wade and said he should have been the 2nd pick in the 2003 draft. He also mentioned that he would have some championships if he were drafted by the Pistons.
Pistons center and 4 time DPOY Ben Wallace didn’t feel the same way as Melo. Ben says
“If we would’ve drafted Carmelo, I honestly don’t think we would have ever won a championship,” Wallace said on the 120 Watts Podcast.
“Melo would have wanted to play right away. It would have had the potential to disrupt the team chemistry.”
I agree with Ben. Mainly because if Melo does get drafted by the Pistons, they likely don’t trade for Rasheed Wallace who was a big reason they were able to win the 2004 title.
