The Last Dance officially ended it’s 5 week run this past Sunday, giving us a deep dive into the career of Michael Jordan, and giving us a temporary fix for our sadness due to the lack of live basketball. The documentary focused mostly, on the behind scenes looks at MJ’s personal life, including the one simple sentence said by MJ’s mother, that changed the world of sneakers for forever.
The one thing that we didn’t get, however, were the thoughts of MJ’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, who was married to MJ during the infamous 1998 season, the season the documentary was heavily based on.
Why is that so important?
Well, Ms. Vanoy is the mother to 3 of MJ’s 5 children, so it’s only natural to want her thoughts on MJ’s final season with the Bulls right? Jasmine Jordan, one of the children MJ had with Juanita Vanoy, gave her thoughts on her mother’s absence from the highly publicized documentary.
Juanita and Jordan divorced in 2006 when she got a then-record $168 million divorce settlement. From that point on you haven’t seen much of her at all.
