Louisianna rapper Hurricane Chris, real name Christopher Dooley is facing homicide charges as well as illegal possession of stolen things following an incident that left one man dead.
The incident took place outside of a Texaco convenience store in Shreveport, LA around 1 a.m. Friday morning, initially Hurricane Chris told authorities he believed the man who later died from several gunshot wounds at Ochsner LSU Health Hospital was attempting to take his vehicle.
Things took a turn for Hurricane Chris after the authorities were able to view security camera footage of the incident, which in their eyes contradicted Christopher Dooley’s variation of what led to his use of deadly force.
On top of being charged with second-degree murder, detectives also discovered that the vehicle Hurricane Chris claimed to be protecting at the time of the shooting, was in fact reported stolen from Texas.
It all adds up to a pretty unfortunate situation both for the family of the deceased and the once-popular rapper Hurricane Chris who now faces a possible life sentence as a result of his alleged actions.
