I will never understand the idea of stealing jewelry. I know the concept of the supposed theft here is different, but the grand idea of it all still stands.
Saints DB, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, has been accused of stealing a $25,000 watch from Sunni The Jeweler. There’s no sort of proof that Gardner-Johnson stole the watch just yet, but that isn’t stopping Sunni from going on Instagram, and blasting the Saints DB for theft.
Now if this all turns out to be true, then boy it makes zero sense, especially with the money Gardner-Johnson is making right now, and the money he’s set to receive moving forward.
Chauncey Gardner-Johnson signed a 4 year, $3,304,100 contract with the New Orleans Saints, including a $784,100 signing bonus, $784,100 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $826,025. In 2020, Gardner-Johnson will earn a base salary of $675,000, while carrying a cap hit of $871,025 and a dead cap value of $588,075.

We’ve all been told that stealing is wrong ever since we were in diapers, but good lord man, stealing a $25K watch when you make a crap ton more than that? This is why having interest expensive jewelry is stupid, especially when you have a crap ton of money.
Spend your money on something that makes more sense, like I don’t know, investing?
Jeez my man, it isn’t that hard.
