It’s sad that even a 9 year old has to experience discrimination and racism up close in person. Racism has no age.
Ouzo Bay, a up-class restaurant according to NBC Washington Shomari Stone, issued a apology Monday, after a video shows it’s restaurant staff mistreating a black family and denying them entry into it’s restaurant.
The mom Marcia Grant recorded the video which shows the staff, including a manager who failed to address the situation in person, continuasly denying entry to the family, because of the child’s athletic shorts that he was wearing.
What’s interesting is that after giving the mom, Marcia Grant an explanation of why they were not allowed to eat there, Marcia then points to a family that had literally just gotten up from enjoying their meal.
That family, a white Caucasian family whose young son, had on the same athletic attire that the restaurant rejected the black family for.
Reportedly, the manager told Ms. Grant the white child did not have on the same shorts at Grant’s son, but according to video evidence he was in fact lying out of his a**.
The manager further states, he didn’t get a good look at the other child’s shorts.
So he basically denied a black family’s child because of his shorts, to further justify his actions for allowing a white family’s son to eat at the same restaurant, because the shorts were allegedly different, just to say ultimately, he didn’t get a good view of the white child’s shorts.
