There is always going to be a double standard when it comes to black people and white people making mistakes.
Simply put white people are allowed to make mistakes and grow from them. Black people are often time only given one chance and if for whatever reason they make a mistake they never get another chance or even the opportunity to learn from those mistakes.
DeSean Jackson posting a fake Hitler quote is a terrible thing to do regardless of context. With that being said almost everyone understands he just was ignorant about what he was doing and not trying to be hurtful. That is totally different that saying you want to beat up all the N*ggers at a concert like Riley Cooper.
That isn’t just something that comes out of your mouth randomly.
Long time Eagles Reporter Reuben Frank had this to say about Jackson.
It’s clear the Eagles have to take some sort of strong action.
Does that mean a one-game suspension? A four-game suspension? Does that mean cut him and never let him back in the Linc and ban him from the Eagles Hall of Fame?
Honestly, I don’t know.
But he simply can’t be allowed to put on an Eagles uniform again until he displays a true understanding of why his posts were so incredibly hateful and harmful. Not just to Jews but to all human beings who believe in equality, inclusion and diversity.
I don’t know if that will ever happen.
Strong words and I wouldn’t have an issue with them if they were consistent. When Cooper was caught on tape being racist, Frank called him a “stand up guy and team player”. There was never any call for STRONG action.
I know we are in a different climate, but I like I said in the video below pay attention to who is saying what.
Social media called Frank out on his hypocrisy and he explained his stance.
Flip the pages for those tweets and video of Riley Cooper going full racist.
