The Department of Justice announced Kenneth Gaughan is in police custody after he stole more than $2 million in Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loans
Fox5 reported “Documents say Gaughan “sought and received approximately $2.1 million in PPP and EIDL loans through applications to SBA lenders on behalf of multiple companies, all falsely purporting to register emotional support animals. DOJ officials say Gaughan has been charged with one count of bank fraud, one count of the theft of government funds, one count of wire fraud, and one count of money laundering.
Documents released states Gaughan illegally purchased a $1.13 million rowhouse, $300,000 yacht, and a sports sedan worth $46,000.
What was Gaughan thinking about? If he wanted to obtain those materialistic things one would enjoy, he could’ve just sought out a career where he can make over millions of dollars.
In a time like this, it all makes sense since the pandemic people are desperate for money or would do anything to obtain it.
