Stephen A. Smith has no issues with going on right-wing news networks and agreeing with people who don’t seem to really like Black people.
He recently appeared on The First, a very right-wing network, with Bill O’Reilly who is an extremely right-wing who at the very least seems a little racist and they talked about bringing politics into sports.
O’reilly starts out by asking Stephen A. if it’s fair that he doesn’t want to see politics during sports and to his credit, Stephen A. disagrees and says that for Black people, these social justice issues aren’t politics and that the protests happen before games so it shouldn’t matter what statements are made.
O’reilly then says that because of the small decals that have social justice messages on them it means the politics do happen during games and that he’d be ok with the social justice messages if there was some balance with “respect the police” on the other side.
Stephen A. for some reason agreed with that statement because he loves balance.
For some reason, they think “respect the police” needs to be said the same way Black Lives Matter needs to be said. Black people respect the police and still get abused and murdered for no reason. Why does there need to be a message about respecting the police when they don’t respect Black people?
