2020 has been an extremely unpredictable and wild year where you should expect anything to happen but one of the things probably no one even thought could happen was Twitter beef between Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Grammy award winning artist John Legend.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Cuban tweeted out that people who are thinking about donating to the Georgia politicians in a run-off for the senate seats should consider donating that money to local food banks and organizations that can help people without food and shelter. That didn’t really sit well with John Legend.
He responded by saying flipping those senate seats would be more impactful because we need coronavirus aid that would help lots of people and that charity isn’t sufficient.
The two had a bit of a back and forth in which they both made good points. It looks extremely tone deaf to see a billionaire arguing with a multimillionaire on twitter about giving money to those in need. Not saying those guys don’t help lots of people because I’m sure they both do, but they shouldn’t be arguing on the timeline about giving money to charity or politicians when they both can.
