Magic Packaging Aaron Gordon & 15th Pick to Move Up to Lottery Pick in NBA Draft

The Orlando Magic have moved into the trade mix. The team thinks they have a good young core that could be the start of something for the city where dreams do come through. In order to attract a good trade deal that could mean the person who will add to their young core, the Magic are seemingly getting very bold.

The rumors are circulating that the Magic are not just willing to give up their 15th pick in the draft. They’re also willing to throw Aaron Gordon into the mix. Moving up in the draft could just be what the team needs in order to position themselves in the East. Let’s not forget that Aaron Gordon is only 25 years, and although he’s had some struggles with injuries, he’s still good for 16 pts and 7 rebounds average per game. With the proper conditioning, Gordon would be very useful to a team. His athleticism speaks for himself as we’ve all seen what he can do in the NBA dunk contest. Gordon was also the 4th pick in the 2014 draft, and that speaks for itself.

The question is who is willing to part with a top pick for Gordon and the 15th, but let’s not forget that the Miami HEAT found their rookie star, Tyler Herro at #13 in the 2019 draft. You don’t always have to be in the lottery to get what you’re looking for, even though the Magic seem to think so. This trade could work out well for the next team who might end up shaking up the playoffs in 2021.
