Poetry & Erica’s Spiritual Connection To God Through His Mercy & Grace

“It’s very interesting that you bring that up because I’m actually releasing my poetry book when True To The Game 3 comes out. I was literally writing a couple of poems last night…so it’s like perfect timing. Um…so a lot of my poetry is very spiritual. Whenever I write to me it’s a direct connection to God, to my faith, to my spirit and it becomes…inspiring for myself and I feel in somewhat ways inspiring for others.”
When Peeples was in Juilliard, she wrote her favorite poem “I got to go back to my artistry.” Although she performed “half of it” for BSO, she had fun laughing while messing up reciting it towards the middle. She’s good and it was honestly amazing to watch.
Peeples understand she’s subjected to give praise, honor and glory to God and how he has brought her through trials within her acting career.
“First of all, I’m so grateful and thankful every single day I wake up. To be alive right now I’m breathing…but to be able to do what I love and to live in my purpose…I know that’s nothing but God.”
“There have been times when I wasn’t working and people weren’t seeing me where I was at my lowest. I never lost my faith, I never gave up…God has always protected me. Always kept me safe and always put me exactly where I needed to go. I’m beyond thankful…every single day just in complete humility. Like I break down and cry and just gratitude for how grateful and thankful I am,” Peeples said.
Hollywood is sleeping on greatness and Erica has elevated her craft in film. The beloved Michigan native said she wanted to star in more “action” films given a woman’s role is often perpetuated to be emotional and vulnerable.
This beautiful Black queen is on her way and when she hits her breakout moment, expect for Erica to give a speech holding either an Oscar, Golden Globe or Grammy award.
She deserves either award even if nominated and is worthy due to her perseverance.
2021 and beyond will be the years of blessings for the Juilliard legend and Mount Clemens native.
