Two Cleveland Browns players, receiver Rashard Higgins and tackle Jedrick Willis were stopped and cited for drag racing Tuesday morning around 9:00 am.
There was also a report of a marijuana joint that was destroyed on camera, the report made no mention of if any more marijuana was found in the car.
Willis and Higgins both addressed the incident on Twitter.
So nobody has ever tried to beat someone off the line at a red light for a max 30 meters? Ight.. Blowing it way out of proportion. Ik y’all road ragers have

Higgins post, which has since been deleted, was more lite hearted in delivery.
Tweeting “oops, my foot slipped” and “I was trying to get away from COVID” before deleting both tweets.
Willis and Higgins are both starters and key contributors to the Cleveland Browns who clinched their first playoff birth since 2002 this past week with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Earlier in the week it was announced that their head coach Kevin Stefanski along with two other coaches and two other players had tested positive for COVID, effectively removing them from competing and coaching in this weekend’s playoff game.
While news of the citation is not likely to affect either Willis or Higgins status for their Wild Card matchup with the Steelers on Sunday; I’m sure ownership, teammates and fans alike would rather these guys NOT be drag racing, or speeding or exposing themselves to any other misfortune as the Browns seek to win their first playoff game since 1994.
