February 20: Miguel Berchelt vs Oscar Valdez
This fight has the potential to be fight of the year. Miguel Berchelt 37-1, 33 KOs will make his 7th defense of his WBC title against Oscar Valdez 28-0, 22 KOs. These are two warriors, both offensive, both with knockout power and both can be hit. This one likely will not go to the scorecards. But it will be a war for as long as it lasts. The fans win with this one.
February 27: Canelo Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim
Whenever the #1 Pound for Pound fighter Canelo Alvarez steps in the ring, it’s worth tuning in to watch. Canelo has expressed his intent to be undisputed at 168. He fought a beautiful, one-sided match against Callum Smith in December, and now holds the WBC and WBA titles. His next stop is against mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim, 21-2. Expect Canelo to put a beating on Yildirim on his way to fighting WBO titleholder Billy Joe Saunders in May.
February 13: Patrick Teixeira vs Brian Castano
The junior middleweight division is one of the most competitive in the sport. Jermell Charlo holds 3 of the titles at 154. The last title is held by Patrick Teixeira. Teixeira won the belt in a very hard-fought battle versus Carlos Adames in November 2019. This will be his first defense of his title and may lead (hopefully) to a fight for an undisputed champ at 154.
February 20: Adrien Broner vs Jovanie Santiago
Adrien Broner hasn’t been in the ring since January 2019. And he is 0-2-1 in his last three fights with unanimous decision losses to future Hall of Famers Manny Pacquiao and Mikey Garcia and a draw versus Jessie Vargas. But before that, Adrien had a promising career and a good record. So, if anything, this fight is worth watching simply to see if Adrien Broner has anything left in the tank. His opponent is 31 years old Puerto Rican fighter Jovanie Santiago, 14-0 with 10 KOs. One thing that Adrien Broner always guarantees in entertainment.
February 13: Richard Commey vs Jackson Marinez
The lightweight division is full of talent and these two fighters are a testament to that. Richard Commey and Jackson Marinez are two very talented fighters coming into this fight off losses. Because momentum is so important in this sport, this fight is a must win for both fighters. Richard Commey is a former title holder and lost his belt in his last fight to Teofimo Lopez. Jackson Marinez has a record of 19-1 and lost a very controversial decision to Rolando Romero. Although this is a fight that almost no one though Marinez lost, the L is on his record and he will be looking to bounce back here. These are two winners. Neither wants two losses in a
