The saga between Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles continues.
After the Eagles fired their head coach Doug Pederson, it was assumed that Carson Wentz would be staying with the Eagles. However more reports have come from Adam Schefter that despite the hiring of Nick Sirianni, Wentz is still unhappy in Philly.
Here’s what Schefter had to say.
“He wants to leave the franchise. Okay? And that’s why the trade still is in play. And, again, people wondering where did this stuff come from at the end of the year. Was it made [up]? This is all real. None of this is made up,” Schefter said of Carson Wentz’ situation on 97.5 The Fanatic. “And just because he would like to be moved or hasn’t commented doesn’t mean he will be. If I had to guess, I would guess he is traded. That would be my guess. At some point this off-season. But, again, they’re not looking to get rid of him. They’re not.”
It is definitely worth noting that Wentz has said next to nothing during this entire ordeal. One tweet from him could possibly quiet all of this down, so him not saying anything is pretty telling.
Also, Wentz has not taken the time to welcome new Head Coach Nick Sirianni. During Sirianni’s introduction presser he did not even guarantee that Wentz would be on the roster this year.
Kinda interesting that Carson Wentz still hasn’t said anything about Nick Sirianni. He’s always been a big “Welcome to Philly!” guy on Twitter in the past:https://t.co/qFrWhBrncy
