Khari Covington, 29, was charged with three hate crimes resulting from strangulation, burglary and assault.
“He appeared before Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun on Wednesday (January 24) where his bail was upheld at $150,000. Covington is facing life in prison if convicted,” per VladTV.
Khari Covington, 29, was charged with burglary as a hate crime, strangulation as a hate crime, and assault as a hate crime after attacking five women. When Covington was arrested in January, he told investigators that he attacked the women because they were light-skinned.
Either this man was taught self-hate for attacking his own or has serious issues with light skin women who didn’t give him any play.
Covington was homeless and committed his crimes from Nov. 17 and Jan. 2 at the Morgan Avenue Subway station.
