It feels like we’re in 2020 still with ignorant decisions made to make a living through COVID-19.
“Aaron Barnes-Burpo, 28, of Crestview, Fla., and Walker Washington, 51, who is listed as homeless, are charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft, said Bobby L. Christine, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia,” via ABC 3.
They then used stolen credit cards to rent luxury limousines, including a Rolls-Royce and defrauded hotels of thousands of dollars in goods and services in cities including Atlanta, Macon and Nashville, reports say.
Barnes-Burpo pretended to be a part of the legendary rap group Wu-Tang clan using stolen credit cards and it backfired.
As a Black man, this isn’t acceptable, and in the words of BSO supporters, “Only in Florida.”
