Myles Turner continues to make his case for Defensive Player of the year.
In Friday’s Pacers 109-94 over the Dallas Mavericks, Myles Turner recorded seven blocks along with Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon each scoring 22 points.
“The Pacers built a 17-point lead three minutes into the third quarter after outscoring Dallas 45-12 from behind the arc to that point. The Mavericks pulled to 84-80 two minutes into the fourth quarter, but the Pacers responded with a 14-2 run to retain control. Indiana led 61-48 at halftime after hitting 7 of 14 3-pointers in the second quarter while Dallas went 1 for 10. The Mavericks finished 8-for-35 from downtown for 22.9 percent,” per ESPN.
Kristaps Porziņģis finished with 31 points and 18 rebounds with Luka Dončić not in action.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle spoke on how the team could’ve won the game with the players he had at his disposal executing.
“We just didn’t execute,” Carlisle told media members.
The Pacers will hit the road and head to D.C. to take on Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards on March 29 at 7: p.m. EST on NBC Sports Washington.
