The Indiana Pacers are on roll and after trouncing the Miami Heat last Friday, the Pacers won 109-106 in OT on Sunday afternoon.
Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner combined for 33 points leading the way with Caris LeVert adding 13 points.
LeVert had an opportunity to seal the game on the last possession in the fourth quarter when the sharp shooter missed a 15-footer contested by Tyler Herro.
“On the first play of OT, Sabonis fouled out. Myles Turner came in cold and tried to do a little too much on the offensive end. The Heat opened with a 5-0 run and dreams of a South Beach sweep started washing away,” per SB Nation.
The Heat shot 24.3 percent from the three-point line going 9-for-37 in a familiar fashion Heat coach Erik Spoelstra dealt with in the past.
“Shooters will work their way through it. There always going to be tough times you know and moments through the course of a season,” Spoelstra told media members.
With the Pacers offense clicking and running Duncan Robinson off the perimeter, the Heat gave up 11 points in OT which would’ve been a difference maker.
Jimmy Butler finished the game with a double-double grabbing 15 rebounds and scoring 21 points.
The Heat will face the Pacers in their final regular season series match on March 31 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
