The Indiana Fever lost their third game of the season to the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday by 21 points.
Connecticut guard Natisha Hiedeman finished with 19 points off the bench and a game high six-assists.
In the first-half, the Fever opened up the game with a 9-2 run only for the Connecticut to return and keep the deficit at bay.
Jonquel Jones recorded a double-double with scoring contributions from DeWanna Bonner and Brionna Jones.
Bonner finished with 13 points and Jones with 16 points giving Connecticut a 3-0 overall record.
“Hiedeman’s on a tear right now, she’s playing extremely well. We didn’t do as good a job I thought we needed to…to keep her in check. we were very cognizant of trying to keep Bonner in check and I thought we did a pretty good job there,” Fever coach Marianne Stanley told media members.
The Fever will take on the Atlanta Dream Friday as they make adjustments on defense to get their first win of the season.
