This will be a long NBA offseason for the Indiana Pacers who dealt with lineup changes and detrimental injuries.
“The Pacers’ performance in the 2021 Play-In Tournament was in many ways a microcosm of their season. In their evisceration of Charlotte on Tuesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Blue & Gold led by as many as 39 points and won by 27. On Thursday in Washington, the script was flipped. The Wizards led by as many as 38 and won by 27, ending the Pacers’ season, 142-117,” per NBA.com.
A 34-38 record with a new head coach in Nate Bjorkgren put the Pacers in a position to look at how they can be better come next season.
“Just ways to improve. How I can lead better. How this team can get better. Maybe during the summer we get together and work out for a week…things like that just to improve,” Brogdon told media members.
An injury-free season is in hopes for next year because the Pacer’s haven’t peaked at full strength since the 2017-18 season.
